Position Overview: We are hiring a Bengali Language QC Specialist based in Noida. The role is responsible for end-to-end quality control of localised Bengali content, including subtitles and dubbed audio, ensuring high-quality, error-free deliverables aligned with client expectations. The work requires strong linguistic expertise, close attention to detail, and a clear understanding of OTT and broadcast standards. The role works closely with project managers, linguists, and dubbing studios to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Review Bengali-language content to ensure compliance with client and platform Standards & Practices (S&P) guidelines.
- Create, edit, and synchronize Bengali subtitles and closed captions with high accuracy.
- Perform quality checks (QC) on subtitles, captions, and localized content for linguistic and technical accuracy.
- Transcribe Bengali audio content while maintaining context, tone, and meaning.
- Verify subtitle timing, formatting, and audio-text synchronization.
- Identify and flag content that does not meet quality, compliance, or platform standards.
- Ensure correct Bengali grammar, spelling, punctuation, and contextual accuracy across all deliverables.
- Research terminology, names, cultural references, and translations to maintain consistency and quality.
- Follow client-specific workflows, style guides, and quality standards.
- Meet daily productivity, quality, and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to resolve language and content-related queries.
- Communicate content, technical, or quality issues proactively and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling high volumes of digital content.
- Continuously learn new tools, workflows, and content compliance guidelines through training.
Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in localization, subtitle QC, linguistic QA, language quality control, or media localization.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Bengali with excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Strong command of English, including grammar, comprehension, and written communication.
- Experience reviewing Bengali subtitles, localized content, and dubbed audio for linguistic and technical quality.
- Strong understanding of subtitle quality control, dubbing QC, and localization workflows.
- Familiarity with subtitle formats and tools such as SRT, STL, and other industry-standard subtitling software.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify linguistic, contextual, formatting, and synchronization errors.
- Knowledge of client-specific style guides, glossaries, terminology, and OTT/broadcast quality standards.
- Ability to provide clear, structured, and actionable quality feedback to translators, editors, and dubbing teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality benchmarks and turnaround timelines.
