Manager - US Revenue Cycle Cash Applications - Position Summary
At Strivant Health, accuracy, accountability, and strong operational leadership are essential to delivering exceptional revenue cycle outcomes. As the Manager - Cash Applications, you will be a hands on leader assisting the team with the daily operations of the Cash Applications team, ensuring timely and accurate posting of insurance and patient payments, reconciliation of accounts, resolution of unapplied payments, and support of financial integrity across client accounts.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing Team Leads, Quality Auditors, and Cash Applications staff while driving productivity, quality, compliance, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with AR Follow-up, Denials, Finance, clients, and cross-functional Revenue Cycle teams, you will help ensure payments are posted accurately, discrepancies are resolved timely, and service level expectations are consistently achieved. This role is ideal for an experienced revenue cycle leader who is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and passionate about developing teams and improving operational performance.
What You’ll Do – Your Impact Matters
Lead, coach, and develop Cash Applications teams and Team Leads.
Oversee daily cash posting activities including ERA, EFT, manual payments, adjustments, and refunds.
Ensure accurate payment reconciliation to AR and financial records.
Manage unapplied, unallocated, and unidentified payments.
Partner with Operations and leadership teams to improve performance, accuracy, productivity, and client outcomes.
Analyze quality trends, training effectiveness, and operational performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist with operational volumes during peak periods and client transitions.
Support candidate assessments, technical interviews, onboarding initiatives, and workforce readiness programs.
Lead prodution enhancement projects, compliance initiatives, and special projects that support organizational growth.
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor's degree required; healthcare, business, finance, education, or related fields preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in US healthcare Cash Applications with strong payment posting experience.
A minimum of 3 years experience of leadership experience in a Cash Applications environment.
Strong knowledge of ERA, EFT, payment posting, reconciliations, refunds, and unapplied cash.
Experience with CPT, ICD, HCPCS, EOB, ERA, and payer remittance workflows.
Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management workflows, including Eligibility Verification, Charge Entry, Payment Posting, Refunds, AR Follow-up, Denial Management, and Patient Access.
Understanding of CPT, ICD-9/10, HCPCS codes, payer guidelines, denial management, and professional billing processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, collaboration, and project management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism.
