About the Role
We are looking for Interior Designers who are interested in building a career in Design Engineering, Production Design, and Modular Furniture Manufacturing.
This role is ideal for designers who want to move from only client presentations and concepts into a more technical role involving production drawings, detailing, material planning, and manufacturing execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Convert interior concepts into detailed production-ready drawings.
- Prepare modular furniture designs for kitchens, wardrobes, storage units, and complete interiors.
- Create accurate shop drawings, working drawings, and manufacturing details.
- Prepare designs using Infurnia and other design tools.
- Support cutlist preparation and production documentation.
- Coordinate with factory production, CNC, and installation teams.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible and production-friendly.
- Review drawings and make necessary modifications before manufacturing.
- Maintain accuracy in dimensions, materials, hardware, and specifications.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in interior design, modular furniture, or furniture manufacturing.
- Interest in moving towards a Design Engineer / Backend Design role.
- Good understanding of modular furniture construction.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Infurnia, or similar design software.
- Good understanding of materials, hardware, and production processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Candidates
- Interior Designers who want to shift from sales/client meetings to technical design.
- Designers interested in production, CNC, cutlists, and manufacturing workflows.
- Candidates with experience in modular kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture.
