Job Description:As a Junior Draftsman / CAD Detailer, you will act as the technical drafting engine supporting the Lead Designer. Your primary responsibility is to handle the fast-paced 2D drafting of site layouts, translate conceptual designs into exact factory shop drawings, and prepare precise cutting lists. You will bridge the gap between design concepts and factory execution, ensuring the production team has flawless technical drawings to build from.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Convert raw site dimensions and measurements into accurate 2D AutoCAD floor plans before the conceptual design phase begins.
Prepare highly detailed factory production drawings (Shop Drawings) with exact millimeter dimensions for modular furniture and paneling.
Extract and calculate precise cutting lists for plywood, laminates, and edge banding based on finalized shop drawings.
Estimate hardware requirements (hinges, channels, handles) accurately for production handovers.
Make swift CAD revisions and updates to existing layouts based on client feedback or site changes.
Coordinate directly with the factory production head and site execution team to clarify any drawing details or technical measurements.
Required Qualifications:
ITI Draftsman (Civil/Architecture), Diploma in Architecture, or a basic Interior Design certificate.
1 to 2 years of hands-on experience focused strictly on 2D AutoCAD drafting.
Exceptional speed, precision, and accuracy in 2D AutoCAD.
Ability to read, understand, and create technical interior and woodworking shop drawings.
Strong mathematical skills for calculating accurate cutting lists and minimizing material waste.
Self-motivated and highly detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working within a modular furniture manufacturing unit.
Basic knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp).
Reporting:Directly reporting to Lead Designer / Managing Partner
Performance Metrics:
Drafting Turnaround Time: Speed and efficiency of converting raw site dimensions into baseline CAD plans.
Accuracy & Waste Reduction: 100% accuracy in factory shop drawings and cutting lists, resulting in zero material waste due to drafting errors.
Revision Speed: Swift turnaround time on updating CAD layouts post-client meetings.
Team Efficiency: Seamless coordination with the factory floor, ensuring no production halts due to missing drawing dimensions.
Salary Range:
Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month based on the previous in-hand salary and experience.

Probation Period:3 months
Notice Period: 45 days after confirmation
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
