Job Summary
The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The Server acts as the primary point of contact for guests and contributes to maintaining the restaurant's service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus and explain menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Answer guest questions and provide menu recommendations.
- Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service throughout their visit.
Food & Beverage Service
- Serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards.
- Verify orders before serving to ensure accuracy.
- Refill beverages and attend to guest requests promptly.
- Monitor tables and clear used dishes efficiently.
- Prepare and present bills, process payments, and return receipts.
Restaurant Operations
- Set up and maintain dining tables before service.
- Ensure dining areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
- Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
- Report customer feedback or service issues to the supervisor.
Compliance & Hygiene
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Comply with company policies and service procedures.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred.
