Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Engineer to manage end-user data backup, backup retention, and data restoration activities. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of backup solutions, Windows environments, and data protection best practices. The role requires adherence to defined processes, approval workflows, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily end-user data backup activities.
Monitor and ensure successful completion of scheduled backup jobs.
Implement and maintain backup retention policies.
Perform file, folder, and data restoration based on approved requests.
Verify the integrity and completeness of restored data.
Maintain backup logs, reports, and documentation for audit purposes.
Troubleshoot backup and restoration failures and coordinate with senior engineers or OEM support when required.
Ensure compliance with information security policies and ISO standards.
Coordinate with users and internal IT teams for backup and recovery requests.
Follow change management and approval processes for all restoration activities.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
Understanding of backup and recovery concepts.
Basic knowledge of enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Acronis, Microsoft DPM, or similar tools.
Knowledge of file servers, NAS, SAN, and storage concepts.
Basic understanding of Active Directory and user permissions.
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Qualification:
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics, or equivalent.
1–3 years of experience in Backup Administration, IT Infrastructure Support, or System Administration.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in enterprise backup environments.
Knowledge of ISO 27001, data security, and ITIL processes.
Familiarity with backup monitoring, reporting, and disaster recovery procedures.
Pay: ₹380,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
