You already know what the Guwahati or Kolkata market offers an architect four to seven years in.
You can draw GFC drawings at a residential or interiors firm for ₹25,000 a month. You can do CAD for American clients. Or you can get hired by a real estate company, which means you stop designing and become a coordinator.
We are offering the option that isn't on that list: your own projects, designed and detailed and built, in a studio whose work is luxury hospitality and high-end residential.
The catch is that you would have to move to Siliguri.

Responsibilities
- Complete project ownership: Design development through to working drawings and site coordination, on the projects assigned to you
- Client interactions: Your own client presentations, once you are ready for them, and the questions that come with them
- Site Visits: In Siliguri, and across Assam, North Bengal and Sikkim. Expect to be out of the studio a few days most months
You would report to our Head of Architecture & Design, alongside a design team of 10+ people.
Qualifications
- B. Arch, with COA registration or registration in process
- 4–7 years in practice, on projects that got built
- Evidence that you have carried a project rather than a sheet — we will ask exactly which decisions were yours
- Hospitality or high-end residential experience is an advantage, not a requirement. Ambition about the work is the requirement
- Someone who finishes to a high standard and holds it when the deadline gets close
- Someone who raises the problem early instead of being asked about it late
Hindi and Bengali both work here; Nepali is useful. English for documentation.
Compensation
- ₹55,000 to ₹70,000 a month
- Performance bonuses tied to project performance and studio results

About Siliguri
Siliguri is a 45 minutes by flight from Guwahati and Kolkata, with direct flights and Vande Bharat connectivity daily, and there are overnight trains. This is not a posting to somewhere remote. It is a real working city — the commercial hub of the whole region and the gateway to Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Sikkim and the Dooars — and plenty of people who move here for two years stay for ten.
If you have roots in North Bengal, Sikkim or the North East and have been looking for a reason to come back, this is a strong one — tell us in your application. If you have no connection to the region and simply want to build good buildings, that works too.
