Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled CDP / Senior Chef for a short-term contract assignment of 2 to 5 months.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of multiple cuisines, sauces, gravies, marinades, seasonings, and commercial kitchen operations. We are looking for a chef who can bring expertise to our kitchen, improve food quality and consistency, develop recipes, and help train the existing kitchen team.
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong culinary knowledge who can make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and standardize dishes across multiple cuisines.
- Strong expertise in sauces, gravies, marinades, dips, dressings, and seasoning combinations.
- Develop and improve recipes according to our brand requirements.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion size.
- Create recipe cards and standard preparation methods where required.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Improve kitchen efficiency, food quality, and preparation processes.
- Help develop new menu items and improve existing products.
- Control food wastage and maintain proper food-cost practices.
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and food-safety standards are followed.
- Work closely with management to implement new food concepts and kitchen strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve menu quality and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as CDP, Senior CDP, Sous Chef, or similar senior kitchen role.
- Strong practical knowledge of sauces and multi-cuisine cooking.
- Good understanding of commercial kitchen operations.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for kitchen output.
- Strong knowledge of flavour balancing, seasoning, portioning, and presentation.
- Experience in menu development or recipe standardization will be an advantage.
- Good team management and training skills.
- Candidates from cafe, QSR, restaurant, cloud kitchen, or multi-cuisine food businesses are preferred.
Contract Details
- Contract Duration: 2–5 months, depending on requirement and performance.
- Employment: Short-term contractual position.
- Compensation will be discussed based on the candidate's experience, expertise, and contract duration.
