Who You Are
We are seeking a Configuration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will focus on designing, configuring, and maintaining dynamic actions, workflows, automations, and rules within the Ontic platform to support enterprise client needs. This role sits at the intersection of product, client solutions, and platform operations, helping clients maximize the value of Ontic through scalable and strategic platform configurations.
The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude, product thinking, and client-centric problem solving. You will partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Managed Services, and Implementation teams to build and maintain solutions that drive adoption, operational efficiency, and long-term client success.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys translating business needs into scalable platform functionality within a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain dynamic actions, workflows, rules, automations, and other platform configurations for enterprise-level clients
Partner with internal teams and clients to understand operational requirements and translate them into scalable platform solutions
Support the implementation and ongoing optimization of client-specific platform configurations
Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Managed Services teams to improve platform functionality and client outcomes
Troubleshoot configuration-related issues and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Perform data auditing, review, and cleanup activities to support platform integrity, workflow performance, and client operational needs
Develop and maintain documentation, configuration standards, and best practices
Create customized enablement and training materials for internal and external stakeholders
Train users on platform capabilities, workflows, and configuration functionality
Contribute feedback and enhancement recommendations to Product teams based on client use cases and platform trends
Support client adoption and retention through proactive engagement and solution optimization
Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally
Set and track objectives and key results (OKRs) related to platform adoption, operational efficiency, and client outcomes
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in a client-facing SaaS, platform operations, configuration, implementation, or solutions-focused role
Experience configuring workflows, automations, rules engines, or platform-based solutions within a SaaS environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional configurations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and/or Technical teams
Familiarity with Jira, Excel, and knowledge management/documentation tools preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
