A Shop Helper assists in the daily operations of the shop by maintaining cleanliness, arranging products, helping customers, managing stock, and supporting the shop owner or staff to ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support
- Assist customers with product inquiries and basic information
- Help customers locate products and carry items if required
- Maintain polite and professional behavior with customers
Store Operations
- Arrange and organize products on shelves and display areas
- Refill stock and ensure products are properly displayed
- Check product quantities and report low stock items
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Sweep and clean shop premises regularly
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, counters, and storage areas
Inventory Support
- Assist in loading/unloading goods
- Organize stock in storage areas
- Help during inventory counting and stock verification
Billing & Packing Support (if required)
- Pack customer purchases
- Assist at billing counter during busy hours
- Prepare orders for delivery or pickup
Requirements:
- Basic reading and communication skills
- Physically fit for lifting and moving goods if needed
- Honest, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- Previous experience preferred but not mandatory
Working Hours:
- As per shop timings and business requirements
- May include weekends and holidays depending on operations
