Job Title: HR / IR Officer
Department: Human Resources
Location: Sector -6, Manesar, Haryana
Job Summary
The HR/IR Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR and Industrial Relations activities at the plant. This includes manpower handling, maintaining discipline, ensuring statutory compliance, fostering positive employee relations, and coordinating with supervisors and contractors for smooth operations. The role requires strong communication, understanding of labour laws, and the ability to manage workers effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR and IR activities employees on the shop floor.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and behaviour of workers across all shifts.
- Handle grievances, conflicts, disputes, and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate manpower planning, daily deployment, and shift scheduling with supervisors.
- Maintain and update all employee records including labour license details, ESIC/PF numbers, bank details, and compliance documents.
- Prepare and issue payslips, maintain wage registers, overtime registers, and ensure statutory compliance under Factory Act & Labour Laws.
- Maintain all statutory registers, HR documentation, and compliance records for audits.
- Conduct onboarding, induction, and joining formalities for new workers.
- Carry out counselling sessions, issue warnings/memos, and support disciplinary actions when required.
- Coordinate with the EHS/safety team to ensure workers follow safety norms, PPE usage, and workplace discipline.
- Support in conducting engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and communication meetings.
- Assist HR Manager with HR operations including attendance management, leave tracking, and monthly MIS reports.
- Maintain cordial relations with government officials, labour inspectors, and local authorities.
- Prepare reports on manpower strength, attrition, overtime, and compliance status.
- Support domestic inquiry processes and handle misconduct cases as per company policy.
- Support new recruitment of helpers, operators, packers, and others roles, including coordination with contractors/ agencies.
- Coordinate and monitor PF, ESIC, Bonus, Leave, Gratuity, and other statutory processes for eligible employees.
- Manage documentation for internal audits, ISO, and statutory inspections related to workforce management.
- Strong network and contacts with manpower agencies for managing workforce shortages and emergency requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
- Experience in payroll processing, attendance systems, and preparation of statutory registers.
- Ability to manage manpower planning, overtime, shift schedules, and leave management.
- Strong understanding of Labour Laws and IR practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle large workforce and resolve conflicts tactfully.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis-handling capabilities.
- Documentation, compliance knowledge, and hands-on shop-floor HR experience.
Education & Experience
Qualification:
- MBA in HR / PGDM in HR / Diploma in Labour Laws (preferred).
Experience:
- 6–8 years of HR/IR experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Candidates who have worked with contract labour agencies as team leads/supervisors handling labour deployment.
- Candidates with on-ground HR experience, shop-floor presence, and strong understanding of worker relations.
- Strong network and contacts with manpower agencies for managing workforce shortages and emergency requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
