The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests. She is responsible for welcoming customers, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring a smooth dining experience with excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Handle guest inquiries, both in person and over the phone
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure proper table allocation
- Maintain an organized seating chart and monitor table turnover
- Ensure reception area is clean, presentable, and welcoming
- Inform guests about waiting times and restaurant policies
- Assist in handling customer complaints politely and escalate when required
- Maintain coordination with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations
- Provide basic information about menu, offers, and promotions
