Job Summary
The Picker & Packer is responsible for accurately picking, assembling, and packing food items, beverages, and catering equipment according to IndiGo Airlines' meal specifications and flight schedules. The role requires strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, quality, and aviation catering standards while ensuring timely dispatch of meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick food items, beverages, cutlery, and catering supplies as per flight-wise meal plans and packing lists.
- Pack meals according to IndiGo Airlines' specifications, ensuring correct quantity, presentation, and quality.
- Verify labels, expiry dates, batch numbers, and flight details before packing.
- Ensure all packed meals comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the packing area and equipment.
- Handle food products carefully to prevent contamination or damage.
- Report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP guidelines.
- Meet daily production targets and dispatch timelines.
- Assist in loading catering trolleys and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain personal hygiene at all times.
- Support inventory counting and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) where required.
- Cooperate with quality assurance and food safety inspections.

Qualification
- Minimum 10th Pass (12th Pass preferred).
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, catering, hospitality, or packaging is an advantage but not mandatory.
Experience
- 0–2 years in food production, packaging, warehouse, or catering operations.
- Freshers may also apply.
Working Conditions
- Shift-based work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as per flight schedules.
- Work in temperature-controlled food production and packing areas.
- Standing for long durations and performing repetitive tasks.

Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and company hygiene policies.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report food safety hazards, accidents, or quality issues immediately.
- Ensure compliance with aviation catering security and operational procedures.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹26,741.87 per month
