Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional from the Freight Forwarding & Logistics industry with strong expertise in Pharmaceutical Cargo handling along with exposure to General Cargo, DG Cargo, Temperature-Controlled Shipments, and Special Cargo operations.The ideal candidate should possess strong operational knowledge, commercial understanding, customer management skills, and the ability to generate new business opportunities. The role requires end-to-end shipment handling expertise along with customer relationship management and profitability management.
Key Responsibilities
Freight Forwarding Operations
* Handle end-to-end Air Freight and Sea Freight operations for Import & Export shipments.
* Manage Pharmaceutical, Temperature-Controlled, DG, General, Project, and Special Cargo shipments.
* Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, transporters, CHA, warehouses, and overseas agents.
* Ensure timely booking, cargo movement, shipment tracking, and delivery coordination.
* Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers.
* Handle shipment documentation including:
Air Waybill (AWB)
* Bill of Lading (BL)
* Commercial Invoice
* Packing List
* Certificate of Origin (COO)
* LC Documentation
* Customs-related paperwork
* Ensure compliance with pharma handling standards, airline regulations, and international shipping procedures.
* Coordinate cold chain and temperature-sensitive cargo handling requirements.
* Resolve shipment operational issues, delays, and customer escalations efficiently.
Commercial & P&L Responsibilities
* Maintain shipment profitability and control operational costs.
* Possess strong understanding of P&L management and freight costing.
* Negotiate freight rates with airlines, shipping lines, transporters, and vendors.
* Prepare quotations and pricing solutions for customers.
* Monitor vendor payments, billing processes, and profitability margins.
* Support commercial decision-making to improve operational efficiency and margins.
Sales & Business Development
* Generate new business opportunities for Air Freight, Sea Freight, Pharmaceutical Logistics, and Special Cargo services.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
* Conduct client meetings and understand customer logistics requirements.
* Achieve sales targets and revenue growth for assigned territory/accounts.
* Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to provide competitive logistics solutions.
* Promote value-added logistics services and company capabilities.
Customer Relationship Management
* Maintain high customer service standards and long-term client relationships.
* Handle key customer accounts and ensure smooth shipment execution.
* Provide timely solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
* Build strong coordination between customers, operations, and overseas partners.
Required Skills & Knowledge
* Strong experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics operations.
* Mandatory expertise in Pharmaceutical Cargo handling.
* Knowledge of DG Cargo, Temperature-Controlled Shipments, and Special Cargo handling.
* Good understanding of LC documentation and international trade procedures.
* Strong P&L and commercial management knowledge.
* Ability to generate sales and develop new business opportunities.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
* Knowledge of customs procedures and international shipping documentation.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Preferred Candidate Profile
* Experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry.
* Exposure to Pharma Logistics and cold chain operations preferred.
* Strong customer handling and business development capabilities.
* Result-oriented with strong operational and commercial understanding.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
