Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Video Editor & Trainer who is equally passionate about video storytelling and teaching. You will play a key role in maintaining quality, consistency, and creative direction across our media outputs while mentoring the next generation of editors.
This role involves:
- Mentorship: Training a limited number of students across batches.
- Production: Working closely with our in-house production team.
- Content Creation: Contributing to two active YouTube channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Mentorship: Train students in professional video editing workflows, review student work, and provide constructive feedback.
- Post-Production Management: Oversee end-to-end video post-production activities and ensure brand consistency across all outputs.
- Content Transformation: Convert blogs/scripts into engaging videos using stock footage, images, motion graphics, and text animations.
- Creative Leadership: Visualize concepts, guide juniors on execution, and support content planning/ideation.
- Quality Control: Maintain high benchmarks for storytelling, pacing, and visual output.
Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional video editing experience.
Technical Expertise:
- Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro (FCP).
- Skills: Non-linear editing, color correction & grading, motion graphics, and transitions.
Core Competencies:
- Strong storytelling and visual sense (ability to convert raw footage into compelling narratives).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Comfortable in a training or mentoring role.
- Up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and editing styles.
