Job Summary
The Interior Design Faculty is responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical instruction in Interior Design, mentoring students, evaluating academic performance, and contributing to curriculum development. The role requires strong industry knowledge, creativity, and the ability to inspire students through innovative teaching methodologies while preparing them for professional practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Deliver lectures, studio sessions, workshops, and practical demonstrations in Interior Design.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessments in line with the curriculum.
- Teach subjects including:
- Interior Space Planning
- Residential & Commercial Design
- Furniture Design
- Building Materials & Construction
- Lighting Design
- Colour Theory
- Design Process & Concept Development
- Technical Drawing
- CAD & 3D Visualization
- Sustainable Interior Design
- Professional Practice
- Integrate current industry trends and technologies into classroom teaching.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and design innovation.
Student Mentoring
- Guide students on academic and design projects.
- Supervise portfolio development and final-year projects.
- Provide constructive feedback on assignments and presentations.
- Mentor students for competitions, exhibitions, and internships.
- Support students in career planning and professional development.
Academic Responsibilities
- Prepare and evaluate examinations and assessments.
- Maintain attendance and academic records.
- Participate in curriculum planning and review.
- Ensure timely submission of academic reports and grades.
- Conduct remedial and extra coaching sessions where required.
Industry Engagement
- Develop collaborations with architects, interior designers, and design firms.
- Organize guest lectures, industry visits, workshops, and seminars.
- Facilitate internships and live industry projects.
- Stay updated with emerging design trends, materials, and technologies.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in faculty meetings and academic committees.
- Assist in admission interviews and student counselling.
- Support accreditation, quality assurance, and academic audits.
- Coordinate exhibitions, design showcases, and institutional events.
- Maintain studio discipline and proper utilization of design labs and resources.
Research & Professional Development
- Participate in research, publications, and design innovation initiatives.
- Attend faculty development programmes, conferences, and workshops.
- Continuously upgrade teaching methodologies and software proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Relevant teaching and/or industry experience in Interior Design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design expertise.
- Knowledge of current interior design practices, materials, and construction techniques.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
