Designation: Filling Line Operator
Job Summary
The Filling Line Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the liquid filling and packing line to ensure smooth production operations, optimum machine efficiency, minimum product wastage, and adherence to quality, safety, and hygiene standards. The role requires effective coordination with production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Filling Line Operations
- Operate and monitor liquid filling, capping, labeling, induction sealing, and packing machines.
- Ensure smooth running of the filling line as per the production plan.
- Set machine parameters according to product specifications and packaging requirements.
- Perform line changeovers for different products, bottle sizes, and packaging formats.
- Ensure proper machine start-up and shutdown procedures are followed.
2. Production Monitoring
- Monitor production output and machine performance throughout the shift.
- Achieve daily production targets with minimum downtime.
- Maintain optimum filling accuracy and reduce product losses.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower assigned to the production line.
- Report production progress and line efficiency to the supervisor.
3. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance of filling line equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department for major breakdowns and repairs.
- Maintain machine logbooks and maintenance records.
5. Material Handling & Control
- Ensure availability of bottles, caps, labels, cartons, and other packing materials before production starts.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with stores and warehouse teams for timely material replenishment.
- Maintain proper batch traceability throughout the production process.
6. Safety & Hygiene Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of PPE during operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of machines, workstations, and production areas.
- Comply with GMP, ISO, SMETA, and company safety requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents immediately.
Pay: ₹9,564.78 - ₹23,402.11 per month
