About the Role
We are seeking a Full Stack WordPress Developer with 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining websites and web applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
This role requires experience in both frontend and backend development, including WordPress customization, PHP programming, database management, and responsive web development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications.
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Convert design files (Figma, Adobe XD, PSD, etc.) into responsive and functional websites.
- Develop and maintain frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Implement backend functionality using PHP and MySQL.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Configure and customize WooCommerce functionality when required.
- Ensure websites are optimized for performance, security, responsiveness, and usability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform regular maintenance updates.
- Collaborate with designers, project coordinators, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and version control processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP and WordPress development practices.
- Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive design.
- Working knowledge of MySQL databases.
- Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Post Types (CPT).
- Familiarity with Shopify, Wix, or other CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices.
- Understanding of SEO-friendly development standards.
- Experience working in an agency or client-service environment.
- Exposure to modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel is an advantage.
