Job Summary
The Quotation Preparing Staff / Site Supervisor (Civil) is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for landscaping and turf construction projects, while also supervising site execution to ensure works are completed as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Quotation & Estimation Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and quotations for landscaping and turf construction works.
- Analyze tender drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations for materials such as turf, materials, etc.
- Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Maintain records of estimates, quotations, revisions, and approvals.
- Support the commercial team during tender submissions and negotiations.
B. Site Supervision Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site activities related to landscaping, turf laying grading, and civil works.
- Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Monitor work progress, manpower, materials, and equipment on site.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct site measurements and prepare work progress reports.
- Identify and report site issues, variations, and additional works.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2 years of experience in landscaping, turf construction, or related civil works.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, turf installation, and basic civil works.
- Experience in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and estimation tools.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in tendering for landscaping projects.
- Knowledge of local market rates and suppliers.
- Valid driving license (if site visits are required).
