Job Summary
The Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations and serving as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, students, faculty, and staff. The role requires excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, students, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage patient registrations, appointments, and enquiries.
- Answer, screen, and transfer telephone calls promptly.
- Provide accurate information regarding hospital services, departments, consultants, and schedules.
- Maintain visitor records and issue visitor passes as per hospital policy.
- Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments for patient assistance.
- Handle patient complaints and direct concerns to the appropriate department.
- Maintain front office records, registers, and documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and professionalism of the reception area.
- Support administrative activities and other duties assigned by management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma in Hospital Administration or Customer Service will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital, healthcare institution, or customer service environment preferred.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills may also apply.
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Customer-focused attitude and professional appearance.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Fluency in English and Malayalam; knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
