We are a growing engineering manufacturing company with our own CNC Machine Shop, Plastic Injection Moulding department, and Product Assembly unit located near Chinniampalyam - Irugur, Coimbatore.
Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Factory Manager who can take complete ownership of daily factory operations – from raw material purchase planning to production execution, assembly, and dispatch. The role is ideal for someone with strong experience & Knowledge in machine shop + assembly who can improve productivity and reduce delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily/weekly production plans for CNC machine shop, injection moulding machines, and assembly lines.
- Monitor actual output vs target on every machine and line (OEE, downtime, rejection %).
- Plan and track purchase of raw materials, inserts, packaging materials, and spares to avoid stock-outs.
- Coordinate between Machine Shop → Moulding → Assembly for smooth material flow.
- Conduct morning shop-floor review with supervisors and resolve bottlenecks immediately.
- Manage manpower allocation, machine utilization, 5S, and safety on the shop floor.
- Maintain accurate production records and send daily report to management.
- Work closely with stores for inventory control and cycle counts.
- Suggest improvements in layout, cycle time reduction, and cost saving ideas.
Requirements
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing (at least 4 years as Production Manager / Factory Manager).
- Must have worked in CNC machine shop + Assembly setup.
- Strong knowledge of production planning tools (Excel advanced + ERP and Tally / preferred).
- Good leadership skills to manage supervisors and workers.
- Fluent in Tamil + English.
- Local candidates from Coimbatore preferred.
