WordPress Developer – Part-Time | Per Project | RemoteJob Overview
We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our team on a freelance, per-project basis. This is a remote opportunity for someone who can build high-quality, responsive, and fast-loading WordPress websites from design files or client requirements.
Projects may include business websites, eCommerce stores, landing pages, blog websites, custom WordPress development, website redesigns, and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Develop complete WordPress websites from Figma, Adobe XD, PSD, or client requirements.
- Build responsive and user-friendly websites using page builders such as Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Gutenberg, or custom themes when required.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Develop custom functionality when needed.
- Configure WooCommerce websites.
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and optimized for performance.
- Perform bug fixes, updates, and maintenance.
- Follow project deadlines and communicate project progress.
Requirements
- 2+ years of WordPress development experience.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS.
- Experience with one or more page builders (Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Gutenberg, etc.).
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Understanding of custom post types, ACF, and popular WordPress plugins.
- Basic understanding of technical SEO and Core Web Vitals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues independently.
- Good communication skills and reliable availability.
Preferred Skills
- Figma to WordPress conversion.
- Website speed optimization.
- Experience with hosting, cPanel, Cloudflare, DNS, and migrations.
- Git/version control is a plus.
Payment is on a per-project basis and depends on the project scope and complexity.
