Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee maintenance, infrastructure development, and utility-related projects within our fasteners manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring structural integrity, project execution, contractor management, compliance with safety standards, and timely completion of civil works supporting plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and execute civil construction projects within the manufacturing plant.
- Manage factory building construction, equipment foundations, sheds, warehouses, roads, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
- Prepare project estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost analysis, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, electrical, and mechanical departments for infrastructure requirements.
- Monitor contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks for RCC, steel structures, masonry, flooring, and industrial foundations.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations, environmental norms, and industrial safety standards.
- Review and approve drawings, layouts, and structural designs.
- Handle preventive maintenance of plant buildings and civil infrastructure.
- Manage project documentation, measurement books, work orders, and contractor billing.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in civil projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
- Proven experience in industrial manufacturing plants, engineering units, or heavy industries.
- Strong knowledge of industrial construction, structural design, RCC works, and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices and statutory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in fasteners, steel, forging, machining, or manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to factory expansion projects, utility infrastructure, and industrial building maintenance.
- Knowledge of contractor management and industrial project execution.
