The Accounts Head is responsible for managing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, budgeting, payroll coordination, and internal financial controls. The role ensures accurate financial records, timely statutory filings, and supports management with financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting
Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of financial records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor General Ledger (GL), Trial Balance (TB), Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet.
2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely filing of:
GST Returns
TDS Returns
Income Tax Compliance
ROC Compliance
Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws and regulations.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Monitor vendor payments.
Verify invoices and purchase entries.
Ensure timely customer collections.
Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
4. Banking & Cash Flow
Manage company bank accounts.
Prepare daily and monthly cash flow reports.
Monitor fund availability.
Coordinate banking activities including LC, BG, loans, and payments.
5. Payroll Coordination
Coordinate with HR for monthly payroll processing.
Verify salary, reimbursements, deductions, and statutory contributions.
Ensure PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS deductions are accurate.
6. Budgeting & Financial Planning
Prepare annual budgets.
Monitor departmental expenses.
Conduct variance analysis.
Support management in financial planning.
7. Audit Management
Handle Internal Audit.
Coordinate Statutory Audit.
Assist in Tax Audit.
Prepare audit schedules and documentation.
8. Inventory & Asset Control
Verify inventory valuation.
Monitor fixed asset register.
Ensure proper depreciation accounting.
Coordinate stock audits.
9. MIS Reporting
Prepare reports including:
Monthly MIS
Cash Flow Statement
Budget vs Actual
Outstanding Receivables
Payables Ageing
Cost Analysis
Profitability Reports
10. Team Management
Lead and mentor the Accounts team.
Allocate responsibilities.
Monitor team performance.
Train junior staff on accounting procedures and compliance.
Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
