About the Role
Blanket Hotel & Spa is looking for dedicated and skilled Technicians and Senior Technicians to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the maintenance and smooth operation of the hotel's electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general engineering systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints from guest rooms and public areas promptly.
- Perform repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance work.
- Monitor the functioning of engineering equipment, utilities, and building systems.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Record maintenance activities and complete job cards accurately.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations whenever required.
Additional Responsibilities (Senior Technician)
- Supervise and guide Technicians in daily maintenance activities.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in planning preventive maintenance schedules and shutdown activities.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained across all engineering works.
- Support the Engineering Supervisor/Manager in inventory control and maintenance planning.
Candidate Requirements
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Plumbing, or a related trade.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, DG sets, pumps, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Skills
- Preventive maintenance knowledge.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintenance records.
- Experience in hotels or resorts will be an added advantage.
