Role Purpose
The Head / Lead – Interior Design will provide strategic and operational leadership to the design function, owning the complete design journey from client brief and concept development to technical detailing, factory coordination, site execution and final handover. The role requires a commercially aware design leader who can build a high-performing team, establish scalable design systems, protect design quality and ensure every proposal is creative, manufacturable, cost-conscious and execution-ready.

02 BESPOKE FURNITURE & MILLWORK
Significant hands-on experience in custom furniture, cabinetry, joinery and production detailing.
03 TECHNICAL DRAFTING
Advanced capability in working drawings, shop drawings, construction details and coordinated documentation.
04 CROSS-FUNCTIONAL DELIVERY
Proven coordination with clients, architects, MEP, procurement, estimation, production, vendors, projects and site teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. DESIGN VISION & CREATIVE LEADERSHIP
- Set the creative direction and design standards for luxury residential projects while preserving individuality and client-specific character.
- Lead discovery, lifestyle mapping, concept development, space planning, material narratives and final design direction.
- Review and approve concepts, mood boards, finishes, furniture schemes, styling and client presentations.
2. CLIENT LEADERSHIP & DESIGN GOVERNANCE
- Lead senior-level client meetings, workshops, presentations and design decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translate nuanced preferences into clear briefs, specifications, approval milestones and coordinated deliverables.
- Manage design changes, value engineering and expectations without compromising the intended luxury experience.
3. BESPOKE FURNITURE, JOINERY & MILLWORK
- Direct the design and detailing of custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, wall panelling, doors and specialist architectural millwork.
- Review joinery methods, hardware, substrates, veneers, laminates, solid wood, metal, glass, stone, upholstery and finishing systems.
- Ensure all packages are dimensionally accurate, production-ready, installation-friendly and aligned with approved design intent.
4. TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION & DRAFTING
- Direct and review plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, RCPs, flooring layouts, electrical coordination, joinery details and shop drawings.
- Establish drafting standards, layer protocols, drawing registers, revision controls and approval workflows.
- Drive first-time-right documentation and proactively close gaps that could cause rework, delays or cost overruns.
5. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PROJECT COORDINATION
- Coordinate with project management, procurement, estimation, production, quality, logistics, vendors and site execution teams from design freeze to handover.
- Participate in planning, lead-time reviews, technical meetings, mock-up approvals and execution readiness checks.
- Provide timely design clarifications, substitutions and closure of RFIs, deviations and non-conformities.
6. MATERIALS, QUALITY & EXECUTION
- Curate premium palettes across stone, wood, veneers, metals, glass, fabrics, leather, lighting and specialist finishes.
- Review samples, finish panels, prototypes, mock-ups and installation quality against approved specifications.
- Maintain an up-to-date material library and strong relationships with specialist vendors, artisans and fabricators.
7. TEAM LEADERSHIP & COMMERCIAL DELIVERY
- Lead, mentor and performance-manage interior designers, furniture designers, technical designers, visualisers and draftsmen.
- Allocate resources, conduct structured reviews and build capability in luxury detailing, documentation and execution awareness.
- Partner with estimation and procurement to protect design intent while meeting budgets, lead times and margin expectations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design or a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
12–18 years of progressive experience, including significant recent exposure to luxury and bespoke residential projects.
LEADERSHIP
4–6+ years leading design teams and managing multiple premium projects concurrently.
PORTFOLIO
A strong body of executed work demonstrating concept quality, millwork depth, technical accuracy and site delivery. TECHNICAL TOOLS
Advanced AutoCAD 2D; strong working capability in SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Revit or equivalent tools.
DESIGN DOCUMENTATION
Working knowledge of BOQs, specifications, drawing registers, document control and project coordination platforms.
CLIENT PRESENCE
Exceptional communication, listening, negotiation and presentation ability with discerning clients.

Pay: ₹2,200,000.00 - ₹2,700,000.00 per year
