We are on an aggressive mission to scale our digital presence. We need an expert developer to stabilize and enhance the technical foundation of our Shopify stores.
The Mission: Technical Excellence & Feature Implementation:
We are hiring a dedicated Shopify Front-End Developer for a focused, intensive 2-month contract to execute high-impact technical features and essential site maintenance. Your core mission will be to ensure our store is running on best-in-class code, has fast load times, and provides a superior User Experience (UX).
This is a pure technical development role. It involves managing inventory, order fulfillment and It does NOT involve paid advertising, customer service, or merchandising.
Key Project Deliverables (What You Will Own):
- Custom Feature Development: Design, develop, and integrate 1-2 complex, custom features (e.g., product builders, dynamic cart logic, advanced filtering) using clean, scalable code (Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript).
- Performance Optimization: Conduct a comprehensive codebase audit to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, aiming for a measurable improvement in mobile page speed (measured by Google PageSpeed Insights).
- Platform Maintenance: Proactively monitor and implement all necessary Shopify theme, API, and platform updates to ensure compliance and prevent technical debt.
- Code & UX Refinement: Refine the user interface, navigation, and site structure to eliminate friction, and strategically audit/optimize third-party app usage, hard-coding features where practical.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building and customizing Shopify themes.
- Expert proficiency in Liquid templating language and strong command of HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proven ability to work with development tools such as Shopify CLI and Git (version control).
- Strong portfolio showcasing custom feature implementation and demonstrable site performance improvement projects.
- Ability to work independently, manage project milestones, and deliver production-ready code on a tight schedule.
