Job Summary
The NPD Engineer (Electronics/Electrical) is responsible for designing, developing, and validating electronic systems and electrical components for new products. This role covers the full product lifecycle—from concept, schematic design, PCB development, prototyping, testing, and production release.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, and fabrication files
- Select and validate components (ICs, sensors, microcontrollers, power devices)
- Develop embedded systems (firmware for microcontrollers, if required)
- Perform circuit simulation and analysis (e.g., SPICE tools)
- Work on power electronics design (SMPS, DC-DC converters, battery systems)
- Conduct prototype testing, debugging, and validation
- Ensure compliance with standards (EMI/EMC, safety, regulatory)
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams
- Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA practices
- Prepare technical documentation (schematics, test reports, design specs)
- Handle design changes (ECR/ECO) and product improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / E&TC Engineering
- 2–6 years of experience in electronics product development
- Strong fundamentals in:
- Analog & digital electronics
- Circuit design and analysis
- PCB design principles
Technical Skills
- PCB design tools: Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, OrCAD
- Simulation tools: LTspice / PSpice / MATLAB (optional)
- Embedded systems: ARM, PIC, AVR, or similar microcontrollers
- Programming: C/C++ (for firmware development)
- Debugging tools: Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Multimeter
- Knowledge of communication protocols:
- I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Modbus, etc.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in IoT, automotive electronics, or industrial electronics
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
- Experience with battery management systems (BMS) or power supplies
- Understanding of certification standards (CE, UL, BIS, ISO)
Pay: ₹317,414.55 - ₹2,505,060.93 per year
