Job Title: Designer (2+ Years Experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or a related industry. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of 3D design, structural detailing, and proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software. The role involves translating concepts into production-ready designs while ensuring structural integrity, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
- Develop structurally sound and production-ready designs Prepare production drawings, cutting lists, and assembly instructions
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure design feasibility Conduct material selection and optimization for durability and cost efficiency
- Modify and improve existing designs based on client or production feedback
- Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and industry standards
- Coordinate with vendors and production teams when required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or a related field
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory)
- Good understanding of 3D modeling, structural design, and technical drafting Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Skills
- Experience with additional CAD/3D software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Understanding of CNC processes and production workflows
- Basic knowledge of cost estimation and production planning
