HR Recruiter and a Payroll specialist is a major function of the human resource (HR) department of any business. A payroll specialist oversees payroll administration by maintaining employee records, calculating wages and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Staffing: Conducting recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing and hiring. Collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- In detail knowledge on tax terms and tax filings like ESI, PF, PTE, Gratuity and Medical Claims.
- Talent Acquisition, Shops and establishment, Trade License and liaison works.
- Good Knowledge of Labor laws, Trade license and Tax Regulations.
- Processing payroll: This involves calculating employees' pay based on days worked, deductions, taxes and relevant benefits.
- Maintaining payroll records: A payroll specialist maintains accurate records of all payroll transactions, including employee earnings, taxes and deductions.
- Tax compliance: A payroll specialist calculates and ensure the on-time payment of all payroll-related taxes.
- Benefits administration: A payroll specialist accounts for employee benefits, such as health insurance and retirement plans, ESI hospital co-ordination.
- Monitoring compliance: A payroll specialist ensures the organization complies with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, taxes and benefits.
- Responding to employee enquiries: A payroll specialist serves as the first point of contact for employees with questions or concerns about their salary, benefits or taxes.
- Generating reports: They generate reports related to payroll expenses, taxes and other payroll-related data to help the organization make informed decisions.
- Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, Pay slips, attendance, and time records.
- Handles changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles.
- Maintaining the office Stationery and co-ordinate with office boys, Man power, Bills verification and also Knowledge in Admin Works.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll and Recruitment.
- Good understanding of payroll and compliance and HR operations.
- Proficient in MS-Office (preferably Excel).
- Familiarity with payroll processes is mandatory.
- MBA in Human Resource is mandatory.
