Role Highlight
We are looking for a passionate and committed Teacher for Grades 5 to 7 who can deliver quality education to students under the BMC Mahul School Project. The role requires someone who believes in holistic child development, inclusive education, and activity-based learning.
The teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging classroom environment, supporting students academically and emotionally, and working closely with parents, school teams, and the community.
Subjects:
- Science and Maths – Education Required is BSC – B.Ed
- English and Social Studies– Education Required is BA/BCOM – B.Ed
Key Responsibility Highlights
1. Teaching & Learning
The teacher will design and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the curriculum. The focus will be on experiential, activity-based, and child-centred learning through storytelling, group activities, role plays, games, arts, music, movement, and project-based learning.
2. Classroom Management
The role requires maintaining a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment. The teacher should use positive reinforcement, empathy, clear classroom rules, and proactive behaviour management to ensure discipline and student engagement.
3. Student Support & Holistic Development
The teacher will identify students who need academic or emotional support and provide individual attention wherever required. The role also focuses on building values such as empathy, respect, responsibility, confidence, and creativity among students.
4. Parent & Community Engagement
The teacher will build strong relationships with parents and guardians through meetings, workshops, and regular communication. The role may also involve community outreach and support in mobilising or enrolling out-of-school children.
5. Assessment & Reporting
The teacher will conduct regular assessments through observation, quizzes, class activities, and student portfolios. They will also maintain records related to student progress, attendance, behaviour, and learning needs.
6. Additional Project Responsibilities
The teacher may be assigned additional responsibilities by the organisation or Project Head from time to time, based on project requirements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
