The role
Build agentic AI products end to end — orchestration, retrieval, tool-calling, APIs, and the UIs people use. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founder, own a product area outright, and ship it to real customers.
Stack: Next.js 14 · TypeScript/Node · Python/FastAPI · PostgreSQL + pgvector · Neo4j · Temporal · AWS · Gemini / OpenAI
What we need
- You've shipped real, working software people actually used — what you've built matters more than years. Early-career engineers welcome if the work backs it up.
- Strong in TypeScript/Node and Python (or strong in one, fast in the other)
- Solid backend fundamentals: APIs, data models, async workflows
- Hands-on with LLM app work — prompting, retrieval, tool-calling, eval loops (or able to get there fast)
- Comfort with ambiguity: take a one-line problem, come back with a working thing, iterate
- Writes things down — async team, so if it isn't written, it didn't happen
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or AI required.
How we work
This role is for people who want to do what it takes to build a company — not just take a job. Agentic AI is early, and a lot of what we're building hasn't been solved by anyone yet. You'll spend your time on genuinely hard, unsolved problems with no manual to follow, own what you build, and see it reach real customers fast. We care about how fast you learn and how much you own.
We won't oversell it: we're early, and the problems are hard. What we can offer is real ownership, a direct hand in building something from the ground up, and work that will stretch you further than an established company would. If you want bounded, predictable scope, this isn't the seat. If you want to build and solve problems no one's cracked yet, it is.
