Position Summary
The Endodontist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing diseases and injuries affecting the dental pulp and periapical tissues. The role involves performing advanced root canal treatments, retreatments, endodontic surgeries where applicable, and collaborating with other dental specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a patient-centric approach.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose pulpal and periapical diseases through comprehensive clinical examination and radiographic evaluation.
- Perform high-quality Root Canal Treatments (RCT) for anterior, premolar, and molar teeth.
- Carry out endodontic retreatment cases with precision.
- Perform emergency endodontic procedures for pain management and infection control.
- Manage traumatic dental injuries involving pulp tissues.
- Perform post and core procedures where clinically indicated.
- Conduct endodontic surgical procedures (Apicoectomy) when required.
- Use rubber dam isolation and magnification techniques whenever appropriate.
- Ensure all treatments are carried out in accordance with accepted clinical protocols and infection control standards.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
- Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
- Valid State Dental Council Registration
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-MDS clinical experience preferred.
- Fresh MDS graduates with strong clinical exposure and excellent case handling may also be considered.
- Experience with rotary endodontics, apex locators, and magnification systems is preferred.
