Responsible for preparing accurate techno-commercial quotations for electrical control panels, automation systems, PLC/SCADA projects, MCC, PCC, APFC panels, VFD panels, and industrial automation solutions. Coordinate with customers, vendors, design, and procurement teams to ensure timely submission of quotations and tenders.
Technical Responsibilities
- Study customer inquiries, RFQs, specifications, BOQs, and drawings.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) for control panels and automation projects.
- Select suitable components such as:
- PLC
- HMI
- VFD
- Servo Systems
- MCCB/MCB
- Contactors
- Relays
- Power Supplies
- Sensors and Instrumentation
- Estimate panel manufacturing costs including:
- Electrical components
- Panel enclosure
- Busbars
- Wiring
- Fabrication
- Assembly
- Testing
- Prepare technical compliance statements.
- Coordinate with design engineers for technical clarifications.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Obtain vendor quotations and negotiate pricing.
Tendering Responsibilities
- Analyze tender documents.
- Prepare tender submissions.
- Verify commercial and technical requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tender specifications.
Customer Coordination
- Respond to customer technical queries.
- Provide alternative solutions for cost optimization.
- Follow up with customers regarding submitted quotations.
- Coordinate with sales team during order finalization.
Documentation
- Maintain quotation database.
- Update price lists and vendor rates.
- Track quotation-to-order conversion ratio.
- Generate estimation and sales reports.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Electrical Control Panels.
- Understanding of PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo Systems.
- Ability to read Single Line Diagrams (SLD), GA Drawings, and Control Schematics.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of costing and estimation.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
Experience
- 1–3 Years: Junior Quotation Engineer
