About the Position: Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I under the ANRF Prime Minister's Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) funded research project in the Department of Chemical Engineering, NIT Tiruchirappalli.
Project Title: Next-Generation Molecular Dynamics Study to Elucidate Nucleation and Crystallization Mechanisms in Gas Storage Materials
Funding Agency: ANRF - Prime Minister’s Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG)
Project Description: The project aims to develop a next-generation Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation framework integrated with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to investigate nucleation and crystallization mechanisms in advanced gas-storage materials such as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), clathrate hydrates, and other porous materials. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in atomistic simulations, AI/ML, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).

Essential Qualification: Junior Research Fellow (JRF): B.E./B.Tech. with valid GATE or M.E./M.Tech. in relevant disciplines. Project Associate-I: B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in relevant disciplines.GATE/NET qualification is desirable but not mandatory.

Salary/Remuneration/Pay Scale:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- ₹37,000 + HRA/month (First 2 years)
- ₹42,000 + HRA/month (Third year after successful assessment)
Project Associate-I
- ₹30,000 + HRA/month (First 2 years)
- ₹33,000 + HRA/month (Third year after successful assessment)
Project Duration: Three Year
