Job description of Academic/Students Counselor
Job Overview:We are seeking an enthusiastic and result-driven Course/ Student Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding prospective students, understanding their career goals, and recommending the most suitable training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle inquiries from prospective students via phone, email, walk-ins, and social media.Counsel students on career-oriented training programs offered by ExpertzLab/ IIT Patna and Palakkad TIH.Understand students’ educational background and career aspirations to recommend suitable courses.Explain course structures, and career outcomes clearly and persuasively.Maintain follow-ups with leads to ensure maximum conversions.Achieve monthly admission targets.Maintain and update the student database in CRM systems.Coordinate with trainers and management for scheduling demos and interviews.Represent the institute at events, seminars, and career fairs when required. Manage practice deliverables. Interact with students to reduce dropouts. Talk to students consistently and help them to improve their communication skills by arranging necesary softskills training by softskill trainers as needed and available. Selection Criteria:Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with interest in working Education Industry and having aptitued in sales.1–3 years of experience in counselling, academic advising, or sales in the education/training industry.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.Good knowledge of the IT/software industry trends is a plus.Ability to work under targets and deadlines.
