Laravel Technical Lead (Backend SaaS Platform)

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Laravel Technical Lead to lead a backend engineering team for a large-scale SaaS platform. The backend system is built using Laravel APIs, serving an Angular frontend application, with PostgreSQL and MongoDB as the primary databases. You will be responsible for leading the backend team, driving architecture decisions, maintaining code quality, improving scalability, and ensuring timely delivery of product features and integrations. This role requires strong hands-on coding ability along with team leadership, system design expertise, API architecture experience, and production-level troubleshooting skills.
Strong experience in PHP and Laravel
Deep understanding of Laravel architecture and ecosystem
Experience building large-scale SaaS applications
Strong experience with RESTful API design
Knowledge of authentication systems (JWT, OAuth)
Experience with queues, jobs, events, listeners, and schedulers
Experience with Webhooks and third-party API integrations
Understanding of Angular-based frontend architecture
Experience working with frontend teams on API contracts
Knowledge of API versioning and frontend compatibility management
Knowledge of Git / GitLab, familiarity with AWS and S3, experience with Redis and caching, unit and integration testing
Experience in multi-tenant SaaS architecture
