About the Role
We are looking for a Journalism Intern who is curious about people, current affairs and stories that matter.
The role will provide hands-on exposure to news research, reporting, interviews, story development and digital content, while working alongside an experienced editorial team.
What You'll Do
- Research news, people, organizations, businesses and emerging developments.
- Identify potential stories and interesting angles.
- Assist journalists and editors with research and story preparation.
- Prepare interview questions and background briefs.
- Assist with interviews, reporting and content gathering.
- Fact-check information and verify sources.
- Assist in writing news content, articles, captions and digital stories.
- Follow developments across Gujarat and India.
- Contribute ideas for stories and digital content.
- Learn how stories move from an idea to published content.
What We're Looking For
- Strong interest in journalism, news and storytelling.
- Curiosity and the habit of asking questions.
- Good research, writing and communication skills.
- Strong command of Gujarati, Hindi and/or English.
- Ability to distinguish facts from opinions and verify information.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced newsroom.
- Journalism, Mass Communication or a related background is preferred.
- Freshers and students are encouraged to apply.
