Job Summary
A CBSE High School Chemistry Teacher is responsible for teaching chemistry to students according to the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The teacher develops students' understanding of chemical concepts, laboratory practices, scientific inquiry, and analytical thinking while preparing them for examinations and higher studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging chemistry lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, acids and bases, periodic classification, carbon compounds, and other prescribed syllabus content.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessment materials.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions and demonstrate experiments safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
- Assess student performance through tests, practical examinations, projects, assignments, and periodic assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, and examination results.
- Provide academic guidance, remedial support, and enrichment activities for students.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Prepare students for CBSE board examinations and internal assessments.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, workshops, and school activities.
- Promote scientific temper, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (B.Sc. Chemistry) or a related science discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- Master's degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. Chemistry) is preferred.
- CTET/TET qualification may be required as per school and regulatory requirements.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
