Coordinate and support project execution across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities of an integrated steel plant to ensure projects finish on time, within scope, and meet safety and quality standards. Candidate shpulld be min 7-10yrs experience in same field
Key responsibilities:
- Support Project Manager in day-to-day technical and schedule coordination across departments (process, civil, mechanical, electrical, utilities, quality, HSE).
- Prepare, update and monitor the project schedule; track progress, highlight delays, and follow up corrective actions.
- Define and issue work packages, conduct handover meetings, and ensure technical completeness of deliverables.
- Manage technical interfaces between engineering disciplines, vendors, contractors and site teams to avoid clashes and ensure installation/maintenance access.
- Organize and participate in engineering reviews, client approval meetings and FAT/SAT support; prepare submission packages (drawings, O&M manuals).
- Assist procurement monitoring (long-lead items) and track equipment delivery & documentation for site readiness.
- Support site erection, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including coordination of specialist vendors and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain project documentation, ensure records are archived for project closure and lessons learned.
Required qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Civil/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3–8 years’ experience in project/engineering roles within steel plants, heavy industrial projects, or EPC environments (Greenfield/Brownfield exposure preferred).
- Basic project management knowledge: scheduling, progress reporting, scope control, and contract-awareness.
Skills and attributes:
- Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to run interface meetings and follow up action items.
- Practical engineering understanding of plant systems (smelters/SMS/rolling/heat treatment, utilities, raw material handling).
- Good working knowledge of MS Project / Primavera, MS Excel and reporting tools.
- Attention to detail, quality-oriented, proactive problem-solver, and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel to site locations and support extended site delegations as required.
Desirable:
- Experience with Light house/ERP for project material tracking and basic familiarity with contract clauses for EPC projects.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
