Summary
Workday Adaptive Planning Architect leads the end to end architecture, design, and delivery of Adaptive Planning solutions—covering modeling, versions, sheets, integrations, security, reporting. Configures bottom up workforce planning connected to Workday HCM and Financials.
Role and Responsibilities
Own the planning architecture and model strategy (dimensions, accounts, levels, versions, time, modeled/standard sheets, driver based logic) to support forecasting, budgeting, scenarios, and rolling plans.
Lead client design workshops configure multi dimensional models, sheets, dashboards, and establish model governance, versioning, and security.
Enable workforce/headcount planning with guided experiences in Workday HCM that write back to Adaptive, including automated headcount reconciliation down to position level.
Validate HCM integrations (Studio/Core connectors/Payroll Connectors)
Design and configure Workday Security Cross-module touchpoints across the Workday modules
Enable HCM analytics and governance reporting in Workday Reporting and Prism as needed
Drive go-live readiness with strong data quality and security discipline.
Prerequisite — Agentic AI & GenAI
Implement Intelligent Variance Analysis with AI generated explanations/commentary and Predictive Forecaster leveraging internal/external data and ML—improving accuracy and cycle time
Embed Workday Assistant (conversational GenAI) to surface data and context in planning workflows.
Conduct client workshops to translate strategic priorities into practical GenAI and AI Agent use cases across organizational functions.
What you'll bring
Worked on AI projects and delivered outcomes
8+ years hands on Workday Adaptive Planning implementation/AMS, leading end to end deployments and Phase X programs
Demonstrated expertise in modeling (sheets, levels, dimensions), security, integration, and reporting
Proven ability to integrate Adaptive with Workday HCM/Financials and external systems via embedded platform/APIs or scripted loaders.
Workday HCM modules
Deep: Workday Adaptive plus modules adopted by the client: HCM and Finance
Breadth: Workday Adaptive Integrations and Integrations fundamentals (Studio/Core connectors/Payroll Connectors) Workday Security Cross-module touchpoints across the Workday modules.

Measurable reduction in planning cycle times through AI assisted variance and predictive forecasting higher forecast accuracy.
Increased planner adoption (guided headcount planning in HCM Adaptive, conversational assistance)
