Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Purchase team and monitor daily procurement activities.
- Plan and execute procurement based on production requirements, inventory levels, and business needs.
- Ensure timely preparation and release of Purchase Orders (POs) and regular vendor follow-up.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quality, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, shortages, delays, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor purchase costs, procurement KPIs, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Allocate work within the Purchase team and monitor individual performance.
- Train, guide, and mentor Purchase Executives.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Accounts, and other departments for timely material availability.
- Maintain proper purchase records, documentation, and ERP updates.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement processes and policies.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred) will be an advantage.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Procurement/Purchase, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year of team leadership/supervisory experience.
- Experience in Industrial Products, Hoses, Rubber Products, Hydraulics, or Engineering Components will be preferred.
