Role Summary
The Junior Architect will support the design and documentation of multi-storey residential and commercial projects, translating concepts into coordinated working and GFC drawings. You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, technical clarity, and design intent are maintained through close coordination with consultants and site teams. Your work will directly impact reduction of rework, cost control, and the smooth implementation of site processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details) from approved concepts, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability for multi-storey residential and commercial buildings.
- Develop complete working drawing and GFC drawing sets, including coordination with structural and MEP consultants to resolve clashes and ensure fully coordinated deliverables.
- Prepare municipal submission drawings and documentation in line with UDCPR/local development control regulations and applicable NBC provisions.
- Generate area statements, unit plans, and layout options to optimise saleable areas, circulation efficiency, and compliance with developer product requirements.
- Support design coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, and site engineers, addressing RFIs and resolving design queries in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining drawing registers, revision control, and documentation standards to minimise rework and support cost and time control.
- Periodically review site feedback, as-built conditions, and quality issues to refine details and improve standardisation of drawings and site processes.
Must Have
Essential requirements
- B.Arch with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design for residential and/or commercial buildings
- Strong portfolio demonstrating working drawings, municipal submission sets, and detailed architectural layouts for multi-storey projects

- Hands-on experience in preparing GFC drawings and coordinating with structural and MEP consultants
- Good knowledge of building bye-laws, UDCPR/local development control regulations, and basic understanding of NBC norms
- Proficiency in 2D drafting and detailing using AutoCAD for architectural plans, sections, elevations, and details
- Ability to convert conceptual sketches into coordinated, buildable drawings within defined timelines
- Experience in preparing area statements, unit plans, and layout optimization for real estate projects

- Exposure to Pune/ Maharashtra-specific approval processes and documentation for building permissions
- Basic experience with 3D visualization and presentation drawings for internal and client reviews

- Prior experience working with real estate developers or design-build/EPC environments
- Ability to visit sites periodically to capture as-built conditions and resolve design queries
