Job Summary
The HR Manager in the construction industry is responsible for managing workforce planning, recruitment, compliance, and employee relations across project sites and corporate offices. This role ensures the availability of skilled and unskilled labor, adherence to statutory regulations, and smooth HR operations in a dynamic, site-based environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Plan and execute manpower requirements for multiple construction sites
- Recruit skilled labor (engineers, supervisors, operators) and unskilled workers
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and labor suppliers
- Maintain a talent pipeline for ongoing and upcoming projects
2. Employee Relations & Site Management
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues at site and office level
- Ensure smooth coordination between site teams and management
- Promote a safe and productive work culture
3. Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and construction-related regulations
- Manage statutory compliances such as:
- PF (Provident Fund)
- ESI (Employee State Insurance)
- Contract Labour Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act
- Maintain labor licenses and documentation for all sites
4. Payroll & Attendance Management
- Oversee payroll processing for site workers and staff
- Monitor attendance, overtime, and shift management
- Coordinate with accounts for wage disbursement
5. Training & Development
- Identify training needs for workers and staff
- Conduct safety training and induction programs
- Ensure skill development initiatives for workforce improvement
6. Health, Safety & Welfare
- Coordinate with safety officers to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Implement health and welfare measures for site workers
- Monitor accident reports and ensure proper documentation
7. Performance Management
- Implement appraisal systems for staff and site employees
- Monitor productivity and workforce efficiency
- Support project managers in performance evaluations
8. HR Operations & Reporting
- Maintain HR MIS reports (attendance, attrition, manpower status)
- Manage employee records and documentation
- Prepare HR reports for management review
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in construction or infrastructure industry
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and site HR practices
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in HR or equivalent
- Experience handling large-scale manpower across multiple sites
- Knowledge of contract labor management systems

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
