Design Engineer – Responsibilities (Valve & Fittings Industry)
- Design and develop industrial valves and pipe fittings as per client specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Ensure designs comply with standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
- Perform design calculations including pressure, temperature, flow, and material strength.
- Select appropriate materials based on application, corrosion resistance, and operating conditions.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure accurate manufacturing of components.
- Review and modify designs based on testing results and client feedback.
- Support new product development (R&D) and improvement of existing products.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
- Conduct design validation and testing to ensure product performance and safety.
- Provide technical support to sales and marketing teams during client discussions.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing or installation.
- Ensure cost-effective design without compromising quality and performance.
