Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Fire Officer to oversee fire prevention, fire safety, and emergency response activities within the plant. The candidate will ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, conduct inspections, train employees, and maintain fire fighting equipment to provide a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all fire safety operations in the plant.
- Conduct routine inspections of fire fighting equipment (Fire Extinguishers, Hydrant System, Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System, Hose Reels, etc.).
- Ensure all fire fighting equipment is in good working condition.
- Conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
- Train employees on fire prevention and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor hot work activities and issue Hot Work Permits.
- Investigate fire incidents and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Fire Safety Rules, and EHS standards.
- Coordinate with local Fire Department during emergencies.
- Maintain fire safety records, inspection reports, and statutory documents.
- Identify fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support EHS team in safety awareness programs.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering or Fire Technology.
- Fire & Safety Certification from a recognized institute.
- Knowledge of Fire Hydrant System, Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System, and Emergency Response.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
Experience
2Years of experience as a Fire Officer in Manufacturing, Chemical, Textile, Plastic, Petrochemical, or Industrial Plants.
