Job Title: Accountant
Company: NJ SHAH AND ASSOCIATES LLP
Location: Borivali, Mumbai
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 6 days a week
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with AS/Ind-AS.
- Taxation & Compliance: Lead the end-to-end filing of GST returns, Income Tax returns, and TDS/TCS compliances for various entities.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and lead statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring all documentation is seamless and compliant.
- Client Advisory: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing insights on tax planning and financial health.
- Team Supervision: Review the work of junior accountants to ensure data integrity and professional standards are met.
- Finalization: Independently handle the finalization of accounts and prepare audit reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce. Inter-CA or CA-aspirants are highly preferred.
- Experience: 4–7 years of experience in an accounting firm or a professional services environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Tally Prime, Winman
- Advanced command over MS Excel (VLOOKUP's, Pivot tables, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of GST laws and Income Tax Act.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients.
