SRM Group Hiring – Civil Purchase Executive / Purchase Officer / Purchase Engineer
Location: Ekkatuthangal& Vadapalani, Chennai

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month
Job Summary
SRM Group is looking for a Civil Purchase Executive / Purchase Officer / Purchase Engineer with relevant experience in civil construction procurement. The candidate will be responsible for purchasing construction materials, coordinating with vendors and project sites, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of materials as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure civil and construction materials as per project requirements.
- Handle procurement of hardware, electrical, plumbing and related construction materials.
- Source and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Collect and compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with project sites, stores, accounts and vendors for material requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate replenishment as required.
- Maintain vendor records, quotations, purchase orders and procurement documents.
- Ensure materials are procured as per project specifications, quality requirements and approved rates.
Requirements
- 2–8 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement
- Civil construction field experience is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
- Experience in vendor handling, quotation comparison and price negotiation.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates currently working in civil construction companies, builders, contractors or infrastructure projects with hands-on experience in construction material procurement are preferred.
