Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing plant. The role includes preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, installation of electrical equipment, and ensuring uninterrupted production by maintaining plant electrical systems safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, control panels, MCC panels, DBs, lighting systems, and power distribution systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults and restore equipment with minimum downtime.
- Perform routine inspection of electrical equipment and record observations.
- Ensure smooth operation of production machines by timely maintenance.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.
- Replace damaged electrical components such as contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, VFDs, sensors, and switches.
- Maintain electrical logbooks, maintenance reports, and checklists.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.
- Coordinate with the Production and Utility departments during maintenance activities.
- Maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards in the electrical workshop and plant.
- Report major equipment issues and improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Manager.
Qualification
- ITI Electrician (Mandatory)
- A Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, medical textile, cotton processing, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Salary
As per company policy and candidate experience.
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
