We are looking for a passionate and skilled Animator with strong expertise in Autodesk Maya to join our growing animation team. You will bring characters to life through high-quality performances for real-time game/vr projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality keyframe animations for characters, creatures, props, and crowd elements in Maya.
- Deliver polished performances with strong acting, timing, weight, and appeal.
- Work closely with seniors, animation supervisors, and riggers to achieve the desired vision.
- Perform blocking, splining, and polishing of shots to final quality.
- Animate for both realistic and stylized projects.
- Handle body mechanics, facial animation, and lip-sync.
- Participate in animation dailies and feedback sessions.
- Optimize and clean animation curves for pipeline efficiency.
- Collaborate with Rigging, Lighting, and Compositing teams.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional animation experience in Feature Film, VFX, or Games.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Maya (strong knowledge of Graph Editor, Trax, and Time Editor).
- Excellent understanding of core animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, follow-through, exaggeration, etc.).
- Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating character performance and acting ability.
- Experience animating both biped and quadruped characters.
- Solid knowledge of Maya rigging systems and how to work with complex rigs.
- Ability to take direction and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Additional:
- Experience with facial animation and blendshape workflows.
- Familiarity with real-time animation (Unreal Engine 5 / Unity).
- Experience with motion capture cleaning and retargeting.
- Previous work on stylized animation or creature animation.
